he's been seen infrequently at borders
he is lucky he was spared by a chance witness
and he's making the bed and brushing his head
for their day

often he wishes that he had been more of a man
missed by the spotlight,
he took hold of his life and ran
ran - for 17 blocks

but every six months she comes home
